Tarot is a tool for you to more easily access knowledge you already possess, knowledge that is often drowned out in our modern world.
Your High Priestess activates and your intuition goes into hyperdrive when you see images on the cards. It’s archetypal and ancient knowing.
Truths you haven’t been able to consciously access, beliefs you’ve buried, stories that only come to life when you have an image on which to place that story ... that’s tarot.
Where do you begin if you’re new to all of this?
On a practical note, you can start with oracle decks if the archetypes and symbolism of tarot feel overwhelming.
On a spiritual note, you begin by trusting yourself. Trust that you have access to the answers you seek. Trust that tarot is simply a tool to bring everything into the conscious realm.
Reading tarot is like learning a new language, similar to the way astrology is a language. If you feel at all curious or drawn to it, pull that thread. I created an Earth Magic spread to get you started!

Pro Tip: Before you reach for Google (or any reference material at all) to ask what your cards mean, take a breath.
Take a moment to look at each of the images. Repeat the questions for each card position out loud and really explore. What colors do you see? Any people, animals, buildings? Tell the story of what you see on the card. How does the card make you feel? Journaling works for me and I always encourage it, but dive into your interpretation of the spread in whatever way feels supportive.
Remember, you already know the answers.
